Tip of the Week: Packaging!

When you buy something do you think how much packaging it has.  For instance look at the picture (left), those are dish washing pellets.  Each one is one run of the dish washer and they each have their own thing of packaging.  When you go to the store and you are buying something that has different choices try to choose the one with the least packaging possible because packaging increases the carbon footprint  even when the packaging is recyclable it takes energy to make it and recycle it again  

Tip of the Week:Tell people!

Tell people! If more people know about global warming then more people will try to stop global warming.  Here are some things you can do:

• Make a presentation and present it.
• Write an article and get your local newspaper to publish it.
•  Write to your representative about global warming.

Tip of the Week:Less then a mile? Walk in style

If you are going to somewhere less than a mile from your house, then walk!

Tip of the week:Reduce, reuse, recycle

• Reduce:Bring your own cups to Starbucks.
• Reuse:Reuse cardboard boxes for craft projects.
• Recycle:Recycle anything that can be recycled. 2/3 of all trash in landfills can be composted or recycled.  If you are not sure what can be recycled ask.

                              Why we need to save the planet:

• The survival of the human race:If we keep destroying the planet we won't not have a safe place to live.
• Animals:If we destroy animals habitats they will go extinct.
• Plants:If we clear natural spaces plants will go extinct.
• Water:If  we keep polluting the water fish will go extinct, and we won't have clean water to drink.          

       If we keep destroying the planet nothing will be able to live on earth!
       That is why we need to save the earth.
